Chatham Lodging Trust complements Aegis's other hotel REIT holdings and was established late in the prior year. Aegis views hotel REITs as discounted relative to replacement cost while expecting demand support from major 2026 travel events. The fund also sees subdued new hotel supply as favorable for industry fundamentals. The position reflects a value-oriented bet on hard assets with improving operating conditions.
